What exactly do you analyze?
Git history — commits, authors, file change frequency. We compute metrics from your version control metadata. We never read, parse, or store your source code content.
Is my source code safe?
Your code never leaves your machine. The CLI runs locally and sends only aggregated scores (numbers) to the hub. See our data policy for the full list.
How is this different from SonarQube or CodeScene?
SonarQube analyzes static code quality. CodeScene is an enterprise-grade cloud platform. DebtLens takes a CLI-first, privacy-first approach with euro-denominated cost output. See DebtLens vs SonarQube and DebtLens vs CodeScene for detailed comparisons.
How are the cost estimates calculated?
We use three formulas based on your team size and commit patterns. Firefighting cost: developers × €450/day × 20 days × bug-fix ratio. Debt servicing: same formula with non-feature ratio. Recovery investment: one-time estimate based on critical hotspots (~2 days each), knowledge silos (~1 day), and dead files (~0.5h). The €450/day is the average fully-loaded cost of a developer in Europe.
Can I try before buying?
The CLI is free forever. Run debtlens analyze on any repo for a full local report with all 8 metrics. The cost estimates and AI narrative are available on paid plans. You can also browse our public sample reports.
Why flat pricing instead of per-seat?
Budget predictability. Your CFO approves one line item, not a variable cost that grows with headcount. Whether you have 10 or 200 developers, the price stays the same.
Is there an annual discount?
Yes. Paying annually saves you approximately 17% — equivalent to two months free. Use the toggle above to see the annual rate.
Do you support GitLab / Bitbucket?
DebtLens analyzes any Git repository locally. It works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or any self-hosted Git server.
