Refund policy

Summary

DebtLens is sold as a monthly subscription. You can cancel at any time from your account, and you will not be charged again. We do not pro-rate unused days within a billing cycle, but we do offer refunds in the situations described below.

14-day refund for EU consumers (B2C)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and purchased DebtLens for personal use, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the first payment, under Directive 2011/83/EU.

To exercise this right, email hello@debtlens.tech from the address associated with your license. The full first-month payment will be refunded to the original payment method within 14 days.

Note: by generating your first paid report (AI narrative or executive PDF), you are deemed to have started using the digital service and waive the 14-day withdrawal right, as permitted by Article 16(m) of the Directive.

Business customers (B2B)

For business customers (purchases made on behalf of a company, legal entity, or professional activity), the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply. However, we offer the following policy:

  • Cancel anytime — cancel from your account at any point during the billing cycle. You keep access until the end of the paid period. No further charges are made.
  • No pro-rata refund — we do not refund the unused portion of the current month.

Full refund situations

We issue a full refund, regardless of B2B/B2C status, in the following cases:

  • Duplicate charge — if you were billed twice for the same period.
  • Failed activation — if your license cannot be activated due to a technical issue on our side and we cannot resolve it within 7 days.
  • Service unavailability — if the hub is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours within a billing cycle and you could not generate any report during that period.
  • Billing error — if you were charged on the wrong plan due to a mistake on our side.

How to request a refund

Send an email to hello@debtlens.tech with:

  • The email address associated with your license.
  • The approximate date of purchase and the plan (Solo, Pro, Business).
  • A short reason — helpful for us to improve, not required.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days after approval. The exact arrival depends on your bank or card issuer.

What is not refundable

  • Billing cycles that have already ended at the time of the request.
  • Partial refunds for unused days within the current month, outside the cases listed above.
  • Fees charged by your bank, card issuer, or payment method for currency conversion.

Payments and billing provider

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as our Merchant of Record. Your invoice and card statement will reference Lemon Squeezy. Refunds are issued through the same channel.
